Pain

I think that the last thing someone could say about pain is that pain is a funny feeling. But, if you think more about this ... pain indeed is a funny feeling. I am talking now about any type of pain. Many of us would happily choose physical pain over any other type of pain, isn't it?

Humans have a very low pain resistance. There is just some 10% (just guessing!) of humans who can endure ... a lot! The rest of us are afraid of the dentist or of a stupid injection. We can look - sometimes we even feel - tough, but we are just playing along. Pain is a test we fail almost every time.

And this is the physical pain. When we talk about mental or other kind of pain... well we are just weak and scared. We are afraid of suffering ... we almost never choose the suffering, even when this could teach us a lesson compulsory to learn. We prefer any other alternative. Meds, therapist!

And here is my question now: WHY? Why are we so afraid of pain? Pain is inevitable ... and even more why do we chose to do nothing to ease the pain? Sometimes we feel like we deserve it! Some other times we just think that maybe it will go away by itself.

I just think that pain should teach us something. Maybe it is supposed to teach us that not everything is pink, nor black or white. But, it should teach us something. And ultimately - DO SOMETHING AND WALK FURTHER! Pain is not a reason to stop fighting, to stop living. I just guess that life keeps going way beyond the pain that has put you down! You either chose to over pass it ... or to let pain sink you!

Either way,it is you choice!
